Bakersfield High School and Houchin Community Blood Bank are teaming up and hosting a blood drive on March 1 in front of Harvey Auditorium.
Requirements to donate
This blood drive will only be available for students 16 and older.
To donate blood there are some requirements. Students must eat a filling breakfast the morning of, weigh at least 110 pounds, be clean of any sickness for 3 days prior, and cannot be sick the day of.
A permission slip must be signed by the students’ parents or guardians and then turned into the SAB by February 29. (permission slips available in SAB)
Staff are also able to donate blood, but they must meet the same requirements as the students.

Students who donate blood will be rewarded with a coupon for a free personal pizza from Rusty’s pizza parlor.
