The Bakersfield High School culinary arts class had its annual cupcake war on May 3.
The culinary students competed as teams to win first place by creating unique and tasty cupcake designs. One winning team is selected from each class period. Staff on campus served as judges.
The winners included S’mores (6th period) and Ferrero Rocher (7th period).
The teams and cupcakes entered in the competition included:
-Strawberry Cheesecake: Jazmin Lujano, Cherish Gomez, Journie Brown, and Armando Salazar.
-Neapolitan: Darrell Hill, Angel Alva, Liberty Vereen, Xochil Estevez, and Sonia Gutierrez Arias
-Red Velvet: Regene Faith Dalere, Alexis Hernandez, Georgealynn Laiso, Christopher Garcia, Valeria Jaracuaro, and Makayla Garcia.
-S’more: Layla Wright, Isabelle Amezcua, Christian Escobar, Malcolm Hess, and Emilio Nava.
-Better Than Anything: Isabella Bravo, Simona Melendez, Samara Montero, Cambria Scott, and Raymond McNabb.
-Strawberry Lemonade: Ismael Arellanes, Ryan Alvarez, Serenity Tulud, Gian Lorenze Ramos, and Kai Vasquez.
-Applie Pie: Derrick Shivers, Jesus Ramirez, Kalia Soeur, Ricardo Delgado, ad Adrian Fuentes Jr.
-Oreo: Juliana Diaz, Haley Beltran, Josue Alejo Solorio, and Liani Moran Paz
