Powder Puff is coming soon, and Drillers are encouraged to get in the spirit. With a whole week of fun leading up to the game, BHS staff and students can get involved in a variety of activities.
Powder Puff is the all-female flag football game where the juniors play the seniors. Crowds are greeted with an all-male cheerleading team and a variety of other festivities.
Spirit week
To get in the mood for the special Powder Puff game, spirit week will run from March 31 through April 3.
The daily themes include:
-Monday, March 31: Cheer vs Career. Drillers can dress professionally or like cheerleaders.
-Tuesday, April 1: Creator vs Skater. Dress like a content creator, an artist, or for an afternoon at the skatepark.
-Wednesday, April 2: Frat Bro vs Tennis Pro. Wear tennis attire or dress like a frat boy (think Hollister or Abercrombie). This is also Food Sale Day!
-Thursday, April 3: Barbie Doll vs Football. Dress like a football player or look like a Barbie doll. The spring rally will take place during 2nd period.
-Friday, April 4: Rockstar vs Nascar. Dress like a rockstar or like it’s time for the Indy 500.
There will be different games and activities each day at lunch.
The game
The game will be on April 3 after school at 7 pm at Griffith Field. The gates will open at 6 p.m.. There is a $5 entry fee for the game.
Students can sit in the student section and show their school cheer, or sit in the general stands with their families. All staff, students, and community members are welcome.
Watch the juniors (Class of 2026) and seniors (Class of 2025) go head-to-head in a flag football game. The Driller boys will be ready to keep the crowd energized with their cheer routines.
A new addition to the Powder Puff game this year will include a staff inflatable race at halftime. In an effort to raise funds for their campus programs, staff will race while in inflatable costumes of their choice; more than a dozen BHS staff have confirmed their participation in the event. Attendees should be sure to donate to their programs of choice, or even just to their favorite costume.
