There has been an increase in security over the past few weeks here at Bakersfield High School
even with the security going from seven to fifteen there are now cops on the school campus.
With some sources it’s been said that the reason behind this is for the fact that many fights are
now breaking out more frequently so that two cops are near at all times during school hours one
for detainment and another for transportation so that one is always here. Along with the fact that
BHS is not the only school in the district with a police influence there is apparently a police force
just for the KHSD (Kern High School District) that’ll send police to schools that need it, which is
why there is also times where there are more that two cops on campus at once.
