Drillers get excited for Food Sale on October 4

With the start of each new school year comes exciting events;one of these are the Food Sale days!

Bakersfield High School is holding their first Food Sale of the year this week on October 4 in Elm Grove during both 4th and 5th lunch.

Food Sales happen three times per year; many BHS clubs and organizations sell food or drinks to raise money for their club or organization. It is a great way for Drillers to get something they are craving while also supporting their school.

According to Anna Lovan, this October’s Food Sale consists of

  • Girls Wrestling – KFC Chicken Strips, $5
  • Book Club – Victor’s Grill Burritos, $5 for half; $10 for whole
  • ROTC – Pizza, $2 per slice; $3 for two slices; $12 whole pizza
  • Spanish Honor Society – Panda Express orange chicken bowls, $5
  • Senior Class – Asada Nachos & Lemonade (Krazed food truck)
  • Junior Class – Iced Frappacinos, $4-$6 (Carnie Kettle Corn food truck)
  • Sophomore Class – Bacon wrapped hot dogs (food truck)
  • Driller Aquatics – Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, $6
  • Boys Basketball – Single scoop ice cream & milkshakes (Ben & Jerry’s food truck)
  • Theatre – Carne asada fries (Semper Fries food truck)
  • Hola Club – street tacos, 3 for $5
  • Boxing Club – Elote in a Cup, $3
  • K-Pop Club – Cup of Noodles, $2
  • Geology club – Fruit Cups (food truck)
  • GSA – Italian Cream Sodas $3
  • Dream Catchers – Aqua Frescas, $7 (Pura Sabrosura food truck)
  • AVID – Shaved ice (Kona Ice food truck)
  • NAHS – Donuts
  • Journalism – Arizona Teas & Juices, $2
  • Mock Trial/Forensics – churros
  • French club – Twisted potatoes (Get it Twisted food truck)
  • Yearbook – TostiLocos
  • Baseball – Acai Bowls, $10
  • Friday Night Live Club – Nachos and pumpkin pie slices

If you happen to miss this Food Sale, the next Food Sale will be in November.
