Senior graduation is right around the corner. Here are some of the activities coming up that Drillers will want to take advantage of.
Baccalaureate Ceremony
The Baccalaureate ceremony is a tradition at Bakersfield High School, and it takes place a week before graduation.
The event for graduates and their families will include musical performances and motivational speeches. It’s a great time to take photos with friends and family. Seniors must wear their cap and gowns.
Date: May 22.
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Harvey Auditorium.
Grad Bash
Tickets to Grad Bash have already sold out, but students can still join the waitlist.
Date: May 23-24
Time: 10:45 a.m. (5/23) through 5 a.m. (5/24).

Senior Sunset Carnival
The Senior Sunset Carnival is a fun event where seniors can hang out with their friends. Drillers can watch the sunset and sign yearbooks. Seniors can enjoy the live DJ, inflatables, slip & slide, carnival games, and more.
It’s encouraged that participants bring a lawn chair or a blanket, as well as some cash. Carnie Kettle Corn will cater for the event; a meal will be provided, but additional items will also be available to buy.
The event is free if seniors sign up by May 22. Only Bakersfield High School seniors can attend.
Date: May 28.
Time: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Location: Elm Grove.
Senior Brunch & Hypnotist show
The Senior Brunch is an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet combined with a Hypnotist show the event takes place the last week of school.
Tickets are required for entry to these events, and they can be purchased for $20. Tickets are available in the Finance Office; cash and credit are accepted.
Date: May 29.
Food served: 10 a.m.
Hypnotist show: 12 p.m.
