This week is Teachers’ Appreciation Week. It is a week where we recognize and appreciate the work teachers do for students. They are constantly keeping us engaged in class and helping us learn. However, teachers should be appreciated every day of every year. Without teachers, there would be no doctors, no scientists, no journalists, no presidents, no anything.
Teachers are often overlooked in the process of our growth. They really are the backbone of our communities. As students, it can be difficult to recognize how much our teachers are doing for us. They have had to change so much about how they work in so little time, and they still have managed to keep teaching us.
For example, my Spanish teacher this year really helped me want to keep coming to school. I would go to class and just vent. It made me feel like I had a place as a freshman at a school I had never been to before. I looked forward to meeting them in person and I can’t wait to be in their class next year. I hope that they know how much they have helped me this year.
Thank you teachers, for going above and beyond to keep teaching us. Thank you for supporting us, helping us, and motivating us. While we might not always show it, we are so grateful for everything you do and have done for us.
